Eating locally is not only good for your pocketbook and the economy, but it's also good for your tastebuds. In this class, you'll learn how to craft a unique recipe entirely from local ingredients.
Over the 2 weeks of this class, we'll cover how to learn more about foods raised in your area, source ingredients, create and modify a recipe and cook it. By the end of class, you will master a self-made, locally-sourced dish.
If you can follow a recipe, you can make your own - it's that easy! I'm the Home Cooking Ambassador for Evernote and I love to come up with recipes for my own dinner parties, so I've got lots of experience and tips to share.
To get the most out of this class, I encourage you to watch the pre-recorded instructions that I'll share in video form each week. You'll have all the handouts, worksheets, and examples that you need for each week to be set up for success - but the key is taking all of these resources and turning them into action. During Week 1, you'll have to get out of the house and explore all of your local vendors to know what ingredients you have at the ready! During Week 2, you'll be cooking up a storm - expect to make a few mistakes at first :) I'll be available for informal Q&A each week, so don't worry if you get stuck.

Classes revolve around completing a project and collaborating with fellow students to give and get feedback on your work. Use Video Lessons and the Project Guide designed by your teacher to complete your class project.
Teachers design and present all class content, but Skillshare is community based around student-to-student interaction. You'll be surprised at what you learn from your classmates!
Never! Once enrolled, you have lifetime access to class materials. That means you can learn when and where you want. Learn at your own pace.
