I will play for you Chopin's Nocturne Op.27 No.1 and Scherzo Op.31 and then pick out details to demonstrate fascinating nuances that will blow your mind! I will expose the inner workings of music in simple terms and attempt to explain why and how it touches upon the most intimate realms of our soul.
After this class you will begin to listen to classical music with new ears - with a sense of understanding and enjoyment on a deeper level.

Javor is a classical pianist from Croatia and a graduate of the University of Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria (class of Karl-Heinz Kaemmerling), as well as Mannes College in New York City (class of Pavlina Dokovska). He has won numerous prizes at international competitions and performed at acclaimed music festivals accros Europe, USA, China and South Africa.
In New York, Javor is performing at high-profile venues including Steinway Hall, New York Historical Society, the Metropolitan Museum and Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall. His performance has been broadcast on WQXR classical music station, and his first solo CD album “Tribute to Haydn” has recently been released on Labor records.
Javor has given a series of concerts for the humanitarian organization "Yehudi Menuhin's Live music now" which brings music to senior homes and hospitals. Javor has also given a series of lecture-recitals at the International House New York aimed at promoting the interest and understanding of classical music among young people.
