, Professor of Anthropology

In this course you will learn to view and understand rock 'n' roll music through an anthropological lens.  You will expand your knowledge of rock music as an American musical art form greatly influenced by -- and influencing -- American culture.  You will learn to appreciate rock 'n' roll music on a level that goes beyond personal opinion or taste and rests instead in the realm of cultural awareness.  This course is perfect for those who play and/or listen to rock music and who love it so much they want to learn more about it.

Prerequisites
A previous knowledge of anthropology and/or attendance in one of my other courses is helpful, but not necessary.
