About the Class

I’ve spent the past two years as Managing Director of the TechStars NYC program where we funded 36 companies, 34 of which have raised over $50mm in follow-on capital since graduating. Currently, I’m investing in early-stage companies through BoxGroup - the seed stage fund I manage. 

In this class, I’ll teach you the basics of raising money for your startup. We will focus on how to articulate and refine your early-stage startup pitch. You’ll leave this class understanding the full suite of materials you should have prepared if you’re seeking investment, and how to go about developing them. We will cover how find and approach investors, and communicate with them throughout your raise. You’ll also learn how to gauge how much seed capital you should be looking to raise.

You’ll hopefully leave this class with a pitch deck and elevator pitch you can use immediately to help raise a seed round for your startup.
