This class will explore how to display your work online; reach a wide audience and create an eloquent, clear and original home for your art on the web. If your an Illustrator, Cartoonist, Photographer or Graphic Designer looking to start a new site or improve your existing web portfolio this class is for you.
The class will include:
-Understanding what Art Directors & Clients are looking for in a portfolio site
-Picking your visual strengths and showcasing them
-Learning the dos and don'ts of portfolio web design
-Selling art on your site
There will be an in class lecture, a review of examples of sites that do work and others that don't, and discuss the necessary steps to a successful portfolio site. The lecture will be followed by a workshop where you will outline your new or improved site.

Koren Shadmi is an illustrator and cartoonist. His graphic novels have been published in France, Italy, Spain, Israel, and the US. His illustration work has appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Mother Jones, BusinessWeek, the Village Voice, The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, Wired, Spin and many others.
Koren has won the Society of Illustrators Gold Medal in 2010. His comics have won several awards internationally and were selected for the Best American Comics anthology.
