Salsa! Maybe you've heard the rhythms and found your feet uncontrollably tapping for weeks. Or perhaps you've seen people dancing, spinning, and smiling and secretly wished you could do it too.
Here's a great chance to finally learn in a fun, no-stress way. We'll be a dancing a Cuban style of salsa called rueda de casino, in which we'll all be doing the same moves at the same time and continuously changing partners, so you'll get to meet lots of people and try out the moves with everyone. If you've never seen rueda before, check out a good example here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xpjG-mV5qc
Don't worry if you've never danced or don't know the first thing about salsa. We'll be starting from scratch--going over the structure of the music, the basic steps, and then adding new moves as we grow more comfortable. By the end, you'll have the confidence and skills to show off your moves when you go out to dance!
