Intro to Eco-Roofs

, Urban Farmer | Greenroofer | Slow Foodie

Ecoroofs are rooftop treatments that help the environment in general. They include greenroofs, blueroofs and whiteroofs, we will talk about some of the differences between these eco-roofs and what other "cool" technologies are out there (such as greencloaking and living walls). This 90 minute class will offer a broad overview of benefits, design and construction.

The major focus will be on greenroof systems as they tend to be the most involved and very popular. The five layer greenroof system will be presented as well as information about extensive and intensive greenroofs and monolithic and modular systems.
