Improv Your Storytelling

, Speak, show and present like a pro.

Our lives are made up of stories. In this class students will learn how to tell every day amazing stories. This class will help you to quickly decipher the beginning, middle, end, the who, what, where, when, why, and the emotional arc, and how to make it all fit into a tight narrative. You'll learn how to stick to the storyline, build the tension, and include all the right details without bogged down or going off a tangent--all this while keeping your listeners riveted! Bring a story or two that you'd like to perfect, or just come ready for fun. Focus will be on delivery, story arc, pacing and connecting with your audience.
At the end of this class students will:
  • understand how applying improv can make any story awesome
  • be able to craft (in-the-moment) the beginning, middle and end to any story
  • learn how to build emotional tension and release

"After several one-on-one private sessions with Taren and a couple of group improv workshops, I made leaps and bounds in my ability to give public presentations. I went from a public speaking "voice" to a more genuine, self-aware and personalized approach, both in and out of the corporate environment. Taren is not only a great teacher and extremely professional, but also perceptive in bringing out attributes in you, that you may not have recognized existed."
