How to Prepare for Your First Burning Man Experience Sat. June 29th at NIMBY, Oakland 12-2:30pm with East Bay Burners & CORE art project
Planning to head to Burning Man this year for the first time? Still on the fence since you’re not sure what to bring, what to expect or if it’s really for you? Is your dust mask and headlamp packed? Bike lights purchased? What are those bare essentials to ensure your survival? Or for those pack rats and gear heads, what should you bring "just in case?" We'll go over many of the staple items, as well as other important things to have and do at Burning Man.
This is a joint partnership with the East Bay Burners and East Bay CORE Project. What’s a CORE art project? Want to start meeting other Burners before hitting the Playa? Do you want to start contributing to the Burning Man community now by helping to build an art project? Come to this meeting! We want you to have the most positive experience possible, so bring those questions (it’s ok to ask anything!) and curiosity about life on the playa. We'll go over:
1. the basics
2. the necessary items to bring
3. costumes and outfits
4. shelter and camp infrastructure
5. gifting, participating and interacting
6. the Burning Man 10 Principals
7. radical human expression
8. and answer any questions you may have!
Please join us NIMBY in Oakland on Saturday, June 29th from noon until 2:30.
