Josh Manley is a math and science tutor with a focus and passion for non-traditional methods of education, and who was recently featured in a New York Times article highlighting unconventional settings that motivate learning. Prior to working with students from some of Manhattan's most elite colleges and high schools, he was involved in research on kidney disease and African sleeping sickness with two publications, but his involvement with a brain-function study exploring how sleep, diet and exercise affect the brains processing speed, memory and multitasking ability has informed his approach to teaching. He is featured on Tutorspree, University Tutor, Wyzant and Skillshare, where he has a city-wide following for his effective and motivating tutoring methods.
