Joe Garvey was enjoying a mediocre career in social services until one weekend he flew to Los Angeles to attend a seminar one that would drasticly alter his life. He flew back to San Francisco the next day, immediatly quit his job, bolted to Colombia and then launched the California League of Adult Scavenger Hunters in San Francisco.
The California League of Adult Scavenger Hunters is no longer but Joe Garvey is now Captain Joe Garvey and now runs CLASH Scavenger Hunts. Based in San Francisco, CLASH produces large-scale adult scavenger hunts for companies such as Google and Dreamworks. Their monthly public scavenger hunts draw upwards of 100 young professionals from around the Bay. This video gives a flavor of their work.
