Sonu Mathew, Senior Interior Designer for Benjamin Moore & Company, is passionate about color, design, and how the two make life more interesting and rewarding. With a degree in Interior Design from FIDER accredited University of Texas at Austin, Sonu cultivated her affinity for the use of color to express design while designing for brands such as the Four Seasons, Intercontinental, Benchmark Hospitality and Starwood. Her repertoire expanded with corporate design experience while working with Gensler in Atlanta and Northern Virginia/DC.

Over the last several years with Benjamin Moore, Sonu has been the creative force behind Ensemble Magazine geared towards architects & designers, has collaborated with design firms to develop innovative concepts for Benjamin Moore’s designer showrooms in New York, San Francisco, and Chicago, and continues to be an integral part of researching new color for the company. As a member of Benjamin Moore’s North American Design Team, Sonu works to uncover emerging trends in color and design movements. Sonu’s unique approach involves blending many influences including fashion, international travel, socioeconomic levers, and technology to shape her perspective of color design.

Sonu has a celebratory approach to color and sees it as a method of organization, believing that color can redefine, reinvent, and rejuvenate not only an environment, but its inhabitants.
