Note: I've had to cancel this class. Sorry to disappoint.
You have a list of a thousand things to do and it's stressing you out. Your email inbox is piling up and starting to overwhelm you. You know what projects you need to get done but you're not quite sure where to start, or what you need to do to finish it. You're stressed and you need to do something about it.
It's time for you to get on top of your work and be productive.
David Allen's book Getting Things Done is regarded as the bible for productivity and this class will introduce the main concepts of the Getting Things Done (GTD) methodology and showcase how you can use it to create a system for yourself to be really productive.
Who is this class for?
Anyone who has stuff they want to get done. The GTD system can work for anybody, no matter what your field of work is, so as long as you're determined to start getting good at getting things done, this class is for you.
What you'll leave this introduction class knowing:
And most importantly:
This class will be a mix of me talking, you asking questions, and us working through real-life examples of what you need to do to be productive.
I've been using the GTD system for 5 years. It's helped me in school, work, and life to stay on top of the things I need and want to get done. I've used the GTD method to keep me on track as a project manager, to stay focused on what needs to be built in a fast-paced startup, and to plan personal projects to make the most of my free time. I keep an empty inbox and lead a low-stress life and can help you do that
I write about productivity tools and methods, as well as explore the ideas behind going beyond "life hacks" to make your life a whole lot better on my blog Hack/Make.
