Some things are easier said than done. Simple Syrup, on the other hand, is easily said AND (almost!) as easily made!
In this class, you will learn: how to make three different types of simple syrup while discovering how it's utilized today in modern mixology, and other delicious ways of incorporating it into your creations. Home-made soda anyone? Or possibly a vanilla latte?
This will be a hands-on class where everyone will have the opportunity to participate in the making of simple syrups. We'll begin by making a basic recipe, and work toward infusing the syrups with a few natural ingredients. And what we don't learn to incorporate in class, you'll also get a quick how-to on infusing syrups with almost any type of fruit, herb or flavoring you can imagine!
Once made, we'll then mix our syrups and taste them in their natural environments: a specially prepared craft cocktail, a cup of coffee and on a waffle!
All students will bring home samples of what we make in class, as well as a list of ingredients and the recipes to recreate everything at home.
