Printmaking without a Press - Monoprint

By ·Visual Artist

Monoprinting is printing a painting. Sounds scary? It's not. It's a unique way to add color to your drawings or to the etchings you made in Printmaking without a Press -Etching.
In this class, I will share my approach to monoprinting. I have spent hours experimenting with surfaces, inks, and paints, and have developed a great way to do professional looking monoprinting at home without a printing press. You can use monoprinting for fine art purposes, or for crafty things, like making your own cards and invitations.
What to bring: a drawing or etching that will not take more than 10 minutes to trace and that would be fun to color in. I will provide all other materials during class. Kits can be purchased for the cost of the materials. Kits include everything you need to start monoprinting at home.
Level of experience required: None.
