Hey artists! Do you have awesome design ideas but aren’t sure how to get them out of your brain and put them online for everyone to see? Maybe you’ve wanted to submit a design to Threadless before, but aren’t sure how to create digitally or how to use the Threadless templates. If this sounds familiar, then this class is for you!
Some people think it is as easy as uploading a drawing and submitting, but if you want to do an amazing job on Threadless, knowing what's involved with creating a beautiful submission and learning about our community is key! We’ll go over the most important things to help you learn how to prepare and submit designs so you can become a hit with our community!
In this class, you’ll follow along with Threadless artist Joe "Speedy" Van Wetering as he goes over concepting a tee design, prepares it using official Threadless submission tools, and submits it to the site. By the end of the class, you’ll have come up with a unique design for your first ever Threadless submission! The Threadless community votes on all submitted designs, and if your design scores well, it might be made into a product!
Here are the tools and resources you’ll get in this class:
- Instructional videos that take you through the steps of concepting a tee design, mocking it up on a product template, and submitting it to Threadless.com
- A submission kit with product templates so you can mock up your design on a tee, hoodie, or tank.
- Instructional PDF packet that includes handy info on parody and copyright, how to promote your design online, and tips on creating a successful Threadless submission.
You'll also get priceless feedback on your work from fellow designers and Threadless community members!

Classes revolve around completing a project and collaborating with fellow students to give and get feedback on your work. Use Video Lessons and the Project Guide designed by your teacher to complete your class project.
Teachers design and present all class content, but Skillshare is community based around student-to-student interaction. You'll be surprised at what you learn from your classmates!
