Learn the basics of business development and walk out of class having closed your first deal! After an awesomely fun workshop on the basics of biz dev, everyone will participate in a biz dev role-playing simulation to really deepen their understanding of how deals get done.

Topics include:

  • What Is Business Development: what it means when someone says "I do biz dev."
  • Strategies for Biz Dev: how to identify and validate business development opportunities.
  • Tactics at the Negotiating Table: how to "get to the D" and close the deal.
  • Biz Dev: The Game: apply your new skills in a live Biz Dev competition and try to close your first deal! The class will be split into teams to plan, negotiate, and sign a real-world partnership opportunity between our venue sponsor and a prospective partner.
