An Introduction

2. Take a History Lesson! Read "Science Influences Culture"

   It can be found in the PDF.

3. Create a mood board

   Do some research of your own. Start a Pinterest account and collect the past.

4. Sketch your retro

   Sketch / Doodle things that feel retro to you. Upload a photo of your creations and share them with the class.

Choose a City and Get Creative

1. Download the Section II Class Guide

   It can be found here or in the resources drawer of this section.

2. Choose a city

   Choose the city you would like to illustrate. 

3. Read 'Ideation: Failing Fast' from the PDF

   Start to come up with ideas for your futuristic retro city. Sketch a lot and start to narrow your futuristic components down to a few ideas.

4. Set Up Your Artboard

   Set up your illustrator file using either a moo.com or USPS template.

The Work Begins

1. Download the Section III Class Guide

   It can be found here or in the resources drawer of this section.

2. Sketch Compositions

   Pick a few ideas and really start refining them on paper.

3. Digitize your drawing

   Scan or photograph your drawing and bring it into the computer

4. Illustrate your drawing

   Use your illustrator skills to bring your idea to life

5. Print and share your work

   Get them printed and send them to your friends!
