Sketching is a fantastic communication tool, capable of visualizing abstract concepts quickly. No one should be frustrated, or intimidated by drawing. I want to introduce you to simple methods and techniques to help you communicate visually.
Along with sketching techniques, I will be introducing you to storyboarding for products. Simple storyboarding is a great way to explain actions happening over time. It's useful for illustrating services, showing a user's interactions with a product, and demonstrating a compelling user journey.

Supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring your own. If you own a tablet & sketchbook pro, you might want to bring this as well. I will be demo-ing digital tools at the end.

Sarah Adams is a current graduate student studying Interaction Design at the School of Visual Arts. In her past she was a toy designer, but has also worked at such companies as Nokia and meetup.
