Lean UX: Building Products your Customers Love and Need

, Design Lead, Lean Startup Machine

Are you a non-technical founder and you just want to get your website off the ground quickly?

Are you a technical founder, who can create the technology, but not sure how to create the best user experience?

Then you're in luck! In this 3-session workshop, we will go through a full process that I've continually refined through my personal experience and with Lean Startup Machine's workshops that have helped over 1,000 entrepreneurs think through this early-stage UX challenge.

The exercises I've built into this course are designed to make your class time as valuable as possible. You will not only be applying the content we discuss, but after each class you will leave with a foundation for growth. I like teaching, but building is even better! At least 30 minutes of each session will be dedicated to creating.

Throughout the duration of this course I will guide you from idea or a current UX/UI to a validated prototype.

Designing a website as pretty as Skillshare, or as user friendly and intuitive as Instagram isn't easy, but by going through exercises and processes that UX pros use, you'll leave with the blueprint for a User Experience/User Interface that your customers won't be able to resist.

When designing the UX/UI for your product, it is vital to have a clear understanding of WHO you are designing for! This class will help you explore and identify who you should be designing for and who your target customers are.  Followed by another exercise to construct a set of interview questions that will generate actionable insights to improve your product.

You will leave this class with an outline and actionable process for determining who your target customers are, how to find and interview them to gain key insights, and how to incorporate all of this into your website’s UX/UI.

  • Making Critical Decisions Like a UX Pro

    The Alley

    500 Seventh Ave (37th Street) 17th Floor
    New York, NY

When creating a product’s UX/UI, in order to efficiently cover all of the bases, I like to use a process that I’ve continually refined through my experience working with both startups and very successful companies like Crayola, Central Park, Chevron, Pfizer and MasterCard. We will be going through this process in a workshop format where you will apply this to some of your favorite sites and even your very own prototype.

When you leave, you will be able to use the step-by-step process I go through every time I analyze and/or build a product’s UX/UI!
