Chef and Chocolatier Mehdi Chellaoui, started working with chocolate in the bustling pastry kitchen of Le Cirque 2000 at the age of 16 where he apprenticed in the chocolate room under the guidance of master chocolatier Jacques Torres. Since then, he graduated from the Culinary Institute of America, and has worked at many prestigious restaurants including: Jean Georges, Aureole, La Cote Basque, and Payard Patisserie.
Mehdi has been featured on the runway at New York City's Chocolate Fashion Show, Martha Stewart Living, Gourmet, Vogue magazines, and The Four Hour Chef.
