Intro to Metal Clay Jewelry Class
Class instruction overview:
- Brief introduction to Art Clay products, including handout defining types of clay, uses, history.
-Tools list handout with list of suppliers including passing out tools needed for the class project.
- Demonstration of techniques such as: Mold making, rolling, stamping, texturing, creating jump ring holes, drying, finishing, torch firing and polishing.
- Key talk points: The use of molds and how to make them, the use of stamps and textured surfaces and what can and cannot be torch fired.
-Class Project: Creating a mold for use in your project and creating a pendant and /or pair of silver earrings using texturing techniques.
