In this 2 hours workshop, you'll learn the technique of needle felting by making your own felt animal with Woolbuddy founder (me!). This class is perfect for crafters of all skill levels. Once you learn this simple technique, your felting possibilities are endless!
This month, we’ll be making owls. Here’s a picture for inspiration. Aren’t they a cute bunch? Of course, your Woolbuddy will have its own unique look and personality.
It will be a hoot!
What will we provide?
At the end of the class, you will have your very own Woolbuddy to take home—as well as the necessary felting skills and tools to make your own fuzzy creations.

Jackie Huang, founder of Woolbuddy, is an animator, 3D story artist, and multi-disciplined art teacher.
Woolbuddy is Jackie’s labor of love. Founded in 2009 as a toy for his young daughter, his felted creatures have taken on a life of their own. In just three years, over 300 characters have been birthed, making up a menagerie of loveable and fantastical fuzzy creatures from the land to the sea, each with a special story to tell!
The Woolbuddy line has been featured at national conventions such as Comicon, Wondercon, the Alternative Press Expo (APE) and the Maker Faire and at boutiques, yarn shops, and museums nationally. Jackie loves to teach his simple techniques to others and has led workshops around the Bay Area, such as Craft Bar with Etsy Labs at the Museum of Craft and Folk Art.
Jackie’s sculpture-like felted creatures bring much joy both to crafters and those looking for special handmade gifts—and plenty of fun for his daughter!
