The possibilities are endless when creating resin jewelry. In this hands-on intro to eco-resin jewelry class, you'll learn how to incorporate recycled eco-resin jewelry to create unique pieces. We'll also go over all of the tools and supplies you need to make eco-resin jewelry at home - you'll be surprised at what you can make with just a few simple and inexpensive supplies! You will also be able to make your own eco-resin jewelry in class! Check out photos here.

Class instruction overview:
- Brief introduction to eco-resin products, including handout defining types and uses of eco-resin in jewelry making.
-Tools list handout with list of suppliers including passing out tools needed for the class project.
- Demonstration of techniques such as: Proper mixing of eco-resin product, using eco-resin to connect jewelry components and using molds to create eco-resin jewelry structures.
- Key talk points: The use of eco-resin in cold connection jewelry techniques, the use of eco-resin to capture ephemera in a jewelry piece and the creation of eco-resin structures.
-Class Projects: Creating a pendant, bracelet or ring using eco-resin as a binder for cold connection or the actual structure of your one-of-a-kind sustainable jewelry piece.
Special Instruction: The student may want to bring vintage, found objects or other ephemera to use as a focal point in their pieces or to incorporate into their design. The instructor will have trinkets i.e.; buttons, keys, vintage brooches, chain, various decorative papers, etc.. on hand for students to purchase at a reasonable price. Hint: Your local thrift store is a great place to find treasures to add to your piece if you're an adventurous spirit.
