Basic Origami Floral Bouquet - Class Cancelled***

Learn the beautiful art of Japanese paper folding and create your very own origami flower bouquet!  In this class, we'll teach you folding techniques with step-by-step instructions of how to fold ordinary paper and transform them into blooming flowers. At the end of the class, you'll get to arrange and take home a beautifully hand-made bouquet.  This will be great for room decors, wedding/parties and gift toppers

This is a hands-on workshop and we will teach you three types of flower folding:

  • Lily
  • Tulip
  • Kusudama

All materials will be provided, including instructions and diagrams on how to fold the paper flowers.  We will be working with paper, wire stem, glue, ribbon and scissors.  Students are free to take extra paper and stem home to complete their bouquet if needed.

This workshop is about 1.5 hours long.

Pulling Petals

Anny and Jenny are two pure Brooklynites, who met 13 years ago while sitting next to each other on their grafitti scralled metal chairs and desks of their high school chemistry class. ever since then a bond was formed by the quirky pair.

After graduating college and riddled with debts, Anny and Jenny started selling a variety of items on eBay purchased from wholesale retailers. As this didn't really appeal to their creative side, they started forming their site PullingPetals on Etsy a year later that offered all their homemade origami products ranging from flowers to crane mobiles.

Please visit PullingPetals to see more of the products and pictures :)

They consider themselves not only as teachers, but also students in the art of origami. There's always new techniques and patterns to learn and perfect. It would be a honor to teach others the knowledge they've accumulated through the years.
