Navigating the Boston Tech Scene: Tips for the Studentrepreneur

Are you a Boston area student interested in Entrepreneurship? Do you like creating new things? Making decisions and working with talented teams?

This class will make you aware of all the best ways to get involved in the Boston tech scene as a student. You'll learn the best online resources, events, people and locations that Boston has to offer and the truths to any myths you've heard.

This will be a small group discussion with 5-10 people at Boston University's School of Management or a conference room in the Cambridge Innovation Center. It will be informative, interactive and casual. Bring something to take notes and a lot of questions.

The Plan

  • Meet and Greet (10min)
  • Overview of Greenhorn Connect - The things you may not know we do (5 min)
  • Overview of Boston Scene- Co-working spaces, VC groups, Events, Accelerator programs, People to know, (30min)
  • Startup Etiquette- How to leverage your student status in a start up world (20min)
  • Depending on availability we'll have a key influencer share some insights or visit an office nearby
