What we sell in the Health and Wellness industry is a very special product: One that depends heavily on the motivation and proaction of our clients. So marketing for health and personal fitness is a tricky beast! Because what we do is often physical, our energy is precious and limited--what is most worthy of our time? How do we measure a successful marketing strategy?
There is no right answer to these questions. But there are ways we can maximize our time and energy where brand marketing is concerned--so we can get back to our roles as healers.
The goal for this introductory class is to produce, or improve, marketing methods for your business through proper demographic identification; "wording" (as opposed to "writing") ; and media prioritization.

I graduated from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in 2010, but before that I worked in PR and marketing. Specifically, I create content for lifestyle and health blogs, such as Brooklyn's Massage Williamsburg and Manhattan-based start-up Lucky Chic. I have an interest in providing businesses with stellar, relevant content and sound marketing strategy with measurable results. Check out my portfolio on the Behance Network.
I am starting my own firm, Holistiworks, the first consulting and recruiting firm in NYC exclusively for the industries of Holistic Health and Personal Fitness. Holistiworks is expected to launch in Fall 2012.
