Learn what it takes to leverage a background and interest in finance in the tech world!
During this class, I'll discuss how I was able to break in to the startup community while still working in investment banking, how one can leverage his/her skill set in helping startups, and how to make an impact once you're in the startup world.
All proceeds will be donated to HackHarvard, a winter incubator program at Harvard College to support student startups.
I spent two years in investment banking at Jefferies in NYC during which time I was able to break in to the startup scene by attending numerous meetups, getting coffee with entrepreneurs and VCs, and getting involved in a number of different groups. I am a frequent user of Ohours, an organizer for New York Venture Community, and a blogger on my own site Ventureminded and at Venturebent. I am an Associate at Lowercase Capital, a business development intern at BabbaCo, and advise 2 startups in NYC. You can also find me on Twitter.
