In the first 20 minutes of the class, I'll introduce how I joined the team of a large multi-year project in my work at P&G and helped them transition from a Waterfall to Agile Project Management. I'll discuss the strategy and the tactics; the cultural change that is required and the tools and techniques to make it happen.
During the class, students will be able to work independently or with others in the class to develop a plan of how they would transition their Waterfall team to Agile. The goal will be to define what they hope to accomplish over the next 3 months and what they will do the next day to start making it happen. This won't be final, in the true agile spirit, but it will be what you need to get started.
I'll share as much perspective as I can on my experiences both during and after the class.

I've been developing technology products at P&G for 5 years, and graduated from a Waterfall to Agile approach - all from the support of many mentors inside and outside my company. I've been helping my team and others to adopt the practices of Agile, both in spirit and in practice, and know what it's like to fight the bureacracy and tides of war that support Waterfall, even in situations when it's not working.
