Make your online portfolio beautiful, dynamic and easy to maintain using NextGEN Gallery, a free fully integrated image gallery plugin for WordPress! It provides a very well-designed area to manage all of your images in multiple galleries and albums and display the images on posts and pages using a variety of options.

In this workshop, we'll explore all the NextGen Gallery features in depth, so you can make the most of this plugin as well as other plugins that work with it.

This workshop will cover:

• Installing NextGen Gallery
• Uploading images to Galleries and organizing Galleries into Albums
• Using the Ajax-based thumbnail generator
• Watermarking images
• Enabling Javascript effects, such as Lightbox or Highslide
• Customizing the CSS stylesheet to specify the borders/shadow effects of images
• Enabling the jQuery or Flash slideshow
• Inserting Galleries or Albums on pages and posts using a variety of display options
• Displaying a slideshow in the header area of your site
• Using other plugins that integrate with NextGen Gallery

Please note that NextGEN Gallery cannot be used with WordPress.comaccounts. You must have your own website with a standalone version of WordPress installed on it (also free, available from WordPress.org).
