Beginner Level

About this Class

Do the words Apache, cache, SQL, schema, JavaScript, AJAX & API's intimidate you? If you want a better grasp on how a website gets built, and/or if you simply want to learn how to communicate better with your technical team and friends, then this class is for you!

We'll be discussing the variety of services, tools, and programming languages that make up the core infrastructure of today's leading websites including what we use at Skillshare.

Topics include, but not limited to:

  • Back-end vs Front-end technologies
  • Explanation of the entire tech stack
  • Which programming language (PHP, Ruby, Java, etc) should I use?
  • How do I know how long something will take?
  • What does it mean to make a site fast?

This class is geared towards those with little technical background.
