What You’ll Learn

I write about how to build beautiful user experiences for web and mobile products. See my recent post on Airbnb's design - http://blog.jasonshah.org/post/18135779651/airbnb-ux-wins-and-losses-how-the-airbnb-home-page

We will go through the Skillshare site, tearing apart its sign up flow, class posting process, and anything else that we find worthy of learning from or learning how to avoid.

The class involves literally firing up your browser, going to Skillshare.com, and picking out every element and interaction that comprises the UX. We'll use this experience as a case study for evaluating product design and being your own harshest critic.

Beginner Level

Nothing. Just have a hunger for learning how to design kickass products.

About Your Teacher

I'm a product manager at Yammer. I have started two companies: one that created a lot of social value and one that crashed and burned. I studied computer science and sociology, so I have a formal grasp of the intersection of technology and human behavior.

User experience is my life. My blog posts have helped a lot of resource-strapped entrepreneurs build better UX into their products and helped all sorts of people rethink how they look at product design.
