I'll show you basic type design lockups that you can apply to any project no matter what comes your way.
You'll be asked to recognize them and learn to create them. We'll do several a week for a number of sessions. We'll then move onto putting those lockups in context of overall pieces--packaging, editorial, posters, book covers, apps, etc.
We'll get into text type briefly in the final few weeks. You'll learn how to set beautiful paragraphs of text.
Since the number of weeks is short, it's a lot in a little time, it'll be fun and worth the commitment. There will be homework. Don’t overbook yourself! Our sessions will consist of in class demos and course work. Please bring laptops.
