Thank you to all the students who have helped make this one of the longest running and successful classes on Skillshare!
Do you want to create a mobile app but have no idea where to start? Have you been searching for a "technical co-founder" but feel like developers speak a different language?
This class will teach you, step by step, how to get an app in the app store, no programming knowledge required.
Building an app is fun but challenging, even without writing a single line of code. In this class we'll work together flesh out the nitty-gritty details of your concepts and transform them into a solid game plan for getting an app into the App Store.
I'll be your guide into the app world.
I believe that anyone can create a mobile application, but sometimes it's hard to know exactly where to start. I know, I've been there. After trying and failing numerous programming books, video courses, online tutorials and an NYU iPhone class, I figured out exactly what non-programmers need to know in order to create their first mobile application.
The format of this class is a workshop—you should come to class with an idea and class time will be spent actually applying my methods to your app.

You should be familiar with smartphones, know about apps, and have used an app. A burning desire to have an app in the app store is highly recommended.
Dann Berg is a writer for Laptop Magazine and a mobile web consultant, and finalist in the 2012 AngelHack hackathon. He currently has two apps in the iOS App Store, Reader Tracker (mentioned in the Wall Street Journal and Parents Magazine) and Watcher Tracker, and has a few other apps in production. He enjoys his monthly check from Apple and slowly and surely learning Objective-C.
