Everyone knows New Yorkers don’t pay retail. But does seeking lower tickets mean compromising your high style standards? Can you indulge in your favorite top-end designers by going the off-price route? When is it worth investing in the full monty, and when can you get a real deal on the real thing?

This class will steer you right to the best hauls of designer finds. You’ll learn sample sale technique—from finding them to acing them, and how to avoid no-returns buyer’s remorse.  You’ll hear about the city’s best sources for old season pieces, when to shop them, and which places carry which labels. Also you’ll get a plan of attack for the growing field of consignment, where the older seasons get reborn. 

You’ll leave with a simple plan for a wardrobe edit (it’s not what you think), identifying the gaps in your closet, and when you deserve a splurge. You’ll also get Kate’s personal address book of secret sources and must-hit meccas in NYC and online, and a few London favorites too.
