The landscape of venture capital is changing more quickly than ever before.

Whether you're launching your first startup & about to begin the fundraising process or generally interested in venture capital, this class will offer an encompassing overview of the industry & how it has continued to evolve over time to support new technology sectors and companies.

In this class, Michael will give a broad overview of the funding landscape in Boston and beyond, including:

  • Ingredients for a vibrant startup ecosystem
  • Trends in particular technology industries on the east coast
  • Clusters of innovation & why geography matters
  • "The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly" of the VC industry

Q&A following the talk will provide an opportunity for attendees to ask questions & explore ideas relevant to their own startups or particular topics in venture capital.

Note: Pizza & drinks will be served after!

All proceeds for this class will go towards supporting HackHarvard, a winter incubator program for helping students launch their first startups.
