About this Class
The Catholic Church in America boasts 70+ million members. We're the largest single religious family in America. Yet fewer than 25 percent attend Mass. And among millennials, attendance falls to fewer than 15 percent.
Without the success of the new evangelization called for by Pope Benedict XVI, these numerical realities portend a dismal non-future for the American Church, and specifically, the health of local parishes.
In a digital, mobile age parish leaders must be alive in the lives of their people. And those lives are lived in both physical and digital spaces.
If young Catholics prize Facebook over faith, it's at least in part because Facebook is present where they live their lives, and too often, the voice of the faithful is not.
This five session course is a digital acceleration program for church leaders looking to embrace digital media to streamline parish services, evangelize their communities, and plant a firm foot on the digital continent.
