Born in Marin County, Eli McCargar began playing poker with his friends at age 14 and quickly found that he had a knack for taking their money. As his knowledge of the game grew, he played poker casually throughout high school and college to supplement his income. After a few years moonlighting in the startup world, Eli is now dedicating his full attention to poker, and is a regular fixture in tournaments and cash games on the Bay Area poker circuit. Teaching poker is a confluence of several of Eli’s passions, namely logic, strategy, people, and listening to himself talk.
