In this course you will learn to view and understand rock 'n' roll music through an anthropological lens. You will expand your knowledge of rock music as an American musical art form greatly influenced by -- and influencing -- American culture. You will learn to appreciate rock 'n' roll music on a level that goes beyond personal opinion or taste and rests instead in the realm of cultural awareness.
