We've all seen those amazing photgraphic images that seem to capture unearthly perspectives through some magical lens we've never been able to find in the real world.
Panos (panoramic images) and QTVRs (Quick Time VIrtual Reality) can be considered an extension of the photograph. They are used for as many purposes as the photograph and more, yet allow greater depth and dimension as well as provide up to 360 degree views within a single image.
In this fun and informative class you will be guided, step-by-step, through a facilitated process that reveals the digital photographer's secret to creating spectacular panoramic images.
Whether you're a newbie or pro, this class is for you. All students will come away with the knowledge of creating dynamic panos in the future, as well as producing their own panoramic image. In addition, you'll learn how to turn your pano into a QuickTime Virtual Reality image.
Do you ever wonder how the pros go about creating those striking panoramic images seen in galleries? This class is for anyone who wants to learn the process from shot to output. The only prerequisites are a love for digital photography and the desire to learn something new!
As manager, photographer and artist for a 3D reflection mapping product called The Reflection Toolkit, Elaine has had the unique experience of creating many QTVR's (click a thumbnail within the link to see what a QTVR is) via a very complex, expensive, and time-consuming process. Since then she has learned to perfect and simplify that process and is here to share this skill with anyone interested in creating their own panoramic images and/or QTVR's.
Collecting her share of degrees in Arts and Education including a BFA Computer Arts, MA in Multimedia, MS in Education, ACE from Adobe ... Elaine never ceases to satiate her thirst for learning. Enjoying sharing her knowledge as much as she loves to learn, she has successfully taught students from elementary, through high school, through graduate school, and is now pleased to share her knowledge with the SkillShare community through this carefully guided online class.
Outside of the classroom, Elaine can be found somewhere in the great outdoors either mountain biking, hiking, running, skiing, snowboarding, swimming, windsurfing, or training for her next triathlon. The two necessities she never leaves home without are her water bottle, and a camera. Life is too valuable to not be lived to the fullest ... and documented!
