About this Class
This class will be a two-hour session to help entrepreneurs and business owners understand the best practices for using LinkedIn. If you're already rocking LinkedIn by getting assignments, clients and networking, skip this class.
The goal is for students to leave knowing how to connect on the site to network and develop leads.
This class will include a few case studies and in-depth Q&A. I'll talk about ways to enhance your profile. I'll explain why your business should probably have its own LinkedIn page. I'll also talk about the wealth of information and contacts that are available in LinkedIn's forums. I'll touch on whether it's worth it to pay up for LinkedIn premium (depends on what you do).
I'll have a lesson plan and handouts for the class. You really don't need to bring a laptop or tablet. This will be more of a teaching and brainstorming session. I also provide a post-class handout to recap what we discussed and have all the links and other info I go over during the class.
The format of the course will be a combination of lecture and discussion. I'll explain some basics along with the case studies. Questions are encouraged because if you have that question probably a few other people are wondering the same thing.
This course will touch on the basics, but it's assumed that you don't need Social Media 101. Yes, I also teach a class on Facebook. (However, click the links to check out feedback from those courses. ;))
