WE'RE CHANGING THINGS AROUND THIS TIME
I've taught the DSLR class a few times but the last few months I've been playing around a lot more with the iPhone taking and editing pictures. Since most photos that are shared nowadays by amateur photographers are taken with mobile devices, I decided to do a class on how to make your iPhone photos look fit for the cover of iPhonePhoto Magazine.
Sure you could go enroll in the course at Kensington College in London where the world's first iPhone Photography college course is being offered, but who in the world has the time for that?
We'll still go over the basics of photography, framing, composition as I normally do. iPhoneography is no different from regular photography as far as coming up with good images.
Then we'll delve into the world of iPhone photography apps and we wont just stop at Instagram. We'll talk filters, frames, cropping, sharing, merging, collaging, etc. We'll talk post-production and workflow management.
If you want to push your Facebook photo likes up from 1 or 2 to 50 or 100, this course might help you. (actual results may vary).
Hope to see you in August.
Requirements:
1 Probably makes sense to have an iPhone
2 Other smart phones with photography apps welcome but I dont know much about other app stores.
3 I'll send a list around of some apps to download for those who register
Don't worry, we'll probably do a DSLR class in September (description still below)
----------------------------------------
So you splurged and got one of those uber-fancy cameras but now dont know what any of buttons/switches/knobs do, this is the class for you. We'll go over the basics of photography including ISO, aperture, shutterspeed. We'll go over basic functionality of the standard Nikon/Canon DSLRs We'll dabble in video, post-production and how to take good photos. I guarantee your photos will look better and people will notice. All you need is a camera (film or digital). Those with SLRs or DSLRs will get more of the class. We can do more than 1 session if there is interest
Ive been a freelance photographer for over 10 years. I've taught photography to many people informally and to some people formally. My work is online at www.aasilahmad.net
