What You’ll Learn

Summer is on its way and what better time to talk about the lightest, brightest white on the shelf: Sauvignon Blanc?

We'll learn the history of this "Savage Grape", and find out what makes it a go-to for wine lovers and novices alike. By the time you leave, you'll:

  • understand the difference between "New World" and "Old World" production techniques for Sauvignon Blanc
  • be able to recognize some unique qualities the grape draws from the terroirs of three different regions (Don't know what terroir means? You'll learn that too!)
  • gain some basic tips for how to choose quality, inexpensive wines at your wine shop
  • learn what foods are popularly paired with Sauvignon Blanc

New to wine? Don't worry! We'll keep it simple and sip along the way. We'll also talk tasting technique and test our palates with plenty of vino.
