Presentation Skills for Introverts

If you're introverted or socially awkward (hi! I'm both), there's a good chance that presentations scare the bejaysus out of you.

But if you're introverted you've got all the more reason to shine in presentations!

After all...

You have a platform to spread your ideas to large numbers of people without having to approach them individually and navigate smalltalk
You can get your points out without fear of being interrupted or talked over
People who love your ideas will approach you afterward, and as 'the speaker' you'll have higher status. Result!

But all the advice online about giving presentations isn't intended for the likes of us. Knowing how to structure a talk and avoid common problems is great, but we introverts need hacks to get over our specific problems too.

And imagining the audience naked? Just no.
