In this class we will work in groups of two to make your first working Zigbee node (a wireless relay) using Xbee chips on a bread board.  On a separate bread board we will make another zigbee node with a simple button to control the first nodes relay allowing for wireless on/off functions.  There is no need for prior electronics knowledge.  We also cover some basics of programming Xbee chips using PC software provided by the manufacturer.  Finally, we also will show some exciting applications of using this technology by demonstrating internet-controlled products built with the Xbee chip.
