I make this a fun and relaxed way to learn to knit. I will be hosting this at my house, so it will be a relaxed, quiet atmosphere and people will be welcome to BYOB and snacks. It’s an evening course and I feel that sometimes a beer or a glass of wine can ease those beginners nerves. Too much and you lose the dexterity needed to master a skill, but a small amount for those that are comfortable with it is fine.

Dates: Tuesdays, March 6 - April 10, 2012

Times: 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

1.5 hours of learning and half an hour of free knitting and chatting

About Your Teacher
Katie Mahoney · The Caged Yarn

I have been knitting for five years and run a small business based on my knitted crafts. On top of that, I have the skill set for teaching others. I have taught many friends how to knit over the years and spent many years of school tutoring and student teaching. So not only to I have mastery of the subject matter, but I have the methods for teaching. My course in the Fall was a success in that the people who attended all of the courses walked away with the skills we learned.
