Curious about letterpress printing but not sure where to start? Wondering if letterpress printing is up your alley? Get your feet wet in this series of introductory workshops. Over two days, Saturday and Sunday, you will receive a complete introduction to letterpress printing. You will learn basic typesetting and press lock-up, ink mixing, and press mechanics. Come away with a new understanding of printing and a small edition of your own cards. Learn to set type using the Center's collection of metal and wood fonts and graphic plates. Design your own stationery and/or business cards and print a stack on our Vandercook Proof presses. Materials will be provided.
