What You’ll Learn
Designers, developers, PMs, marketers... If you're making stuff for the web, you'll need HTML/CSS! It's where design meets engineering and is a foundational skill for front-end development that anyone can learn, especially now that there's frameworks to help get started like Bootstrap and HTML5 Boilerplate.
What you'll need:
  • a laptop - doesn't matter if it's mac or pc.
  • the Chrome browser - we'll be using its inspector tool. http://www.google.com/chrome
  • a text editor that you're comfortable with. You can probably just use the built-in Notepad on a PC and Textedit on a Mac, but also feel free to download a free trial of either of these:
    • on a PC, get Sublime Text 2 - http://www.sublimetext.com/2
    • on a Mac, you can also use Sublime Text 2. Another popular option (that I use) is Textmate - http://macromates.com - the download is in the upper right under the subheader "30 Day Trial".
Beginner Level

This class is suitable for beginners with no previous programming experience, as long as you're comfortable with using a text editor and web browser.
