The intermediate rails workshop is designed for developers who have built a few smaller rails applications and would like to start making more complicated ones. In this workshop we’ll discuss rails routing in depth, complex associations, uploading files, debugging, basic unit tests, and many other topics. The workshop focuses on building an application over the course of 2 days that will tie in all of these topics.
Students are expected to know ruby, how to create a basic rails application on their own, and should have experience with a relational database such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle. Breakfast and lunch will be provided on both days.
Matt started programming in Qbasic and worked his way up to programming Ruby. Matt also enjoys folding origami and dabbling in other programming languages.
