Through improvised monologues and group games we apply theater techniques to public speaking situations to improve confidence, presence, eye contact, body language, diction, projection and more. Every student comes with different experience, challenges and growing edges so this workshop will be tailored to address each student's individual needs as well as to foster a healthy and supportive group dynamic. Rather than learning how to give a speech the "right" way, the focus will be on learning to enjoy being in the spotlight and communicating your message in ways that are fun for you and therefore fun for your audience!
At the end of this workshop students will:
--learn the basics of how to apply improv to public speaking
--practice delivering powerful and fun two-minute speeches
--learn two team building improv games to help them connect with any audience
